Iran, Turkey border trade vital: envoy

Ankara, March 1, IRNA – Expansion of Iran-Turkey border transactions is in line with increasing the value of bilateral trade to dlrs 30 billion, Iranian envoy said here on Saturday.
Talking to IRNA, Iran Ambassador to Turkey Alireza Bigdeli underlined that the Turkish border provinces of Van, Hakkari and Agri could play vital roles in achieving Iran-Turkey economic goals.

As to the importance of Bazargan border point in northwestern Iran, Bigdeli stressed that the highest volume of goods, vehicles and passengers transit between the two countries are taken place through Bazargan border point.

He also called for expansion of cooperation between the Turkish provinces of Van, Hakkari, Agri and West Azarbaijan province in northwest of Iran.
