TEHRAN (FNA)- Iran’s Ambassador to Russia Mehdi Sanayee in separate meetings with senior Russian officials voiced Tehran's readiness to do its best to pave the ground for the expansion of relations with Moscow.

Speaking in a meeting with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov in Moscow on Tuesday, Sanayee said that ever since implementation of the Geneva nuclear plan of action cut by Iran and the Group5+1 (the five permanent UN Security Council members plus Germany), European state’s economic relations with Tehran have gained momentum and European countries’ economic exchanges with Iran have considerably grown.

The Iranian diplomat also met with Igor Bratchikov, head of the Russian delegation to the multilateral talks on the Caspian Sea and Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Morgulov on bilateral ties, and regional and international developments.

Iran and Russia have vast cooperation in different fields, specially in political and economic spheres.

The two states also enjoy special positions on the international scene and have long had constant and regular consultations on key regional and global issues.
