Ice statues attract thousands of tourists

BRUJEN, Feb. 2 (MNA) – The 7th ice statue race has been held in international Chaghakhor Wetland on Friday.
he ice-statue race attracted thousands of tourists to Borujen, Chaghakhor rural district in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province.



The visitors came from other provinces such as Isfahan, Tehran, Khuzestan and Kerman to observe the race closely.



The contenders designed and shave out of ice statues in different shapes. Statues were shining under the sun.



There was even an ice statue of Rostam, Iranian legendary figure immortalized in Ferdowsi’s Epic of Kings, fighting the enemies.



Ice statues of men on horseback fighting the enemies attracted the eyes.



There were also ice statues featuring a country family along with Iran Sacred Defense (a term used by Iranians for 8 years of war with Iraq) warriors.


This 7th snow race shows that Iran has winter attractions which can attract a lot of tourists from around the world.


Art students of all around Iran participated in the race and illustrated their arts to the visitors.
