Tehran, Jan 18, IRNA – Iranian embassy in Abu Dhabi said the news carried by some Arab sites regarding the three Iranian islands in the Persian Gulf were baseless and fabricated.

The statement stressed that the websites which lack any kind of credibility and reliability embarked on disseminating unreal and fabricated stories to create a negative atmosphere.

It said the websites were indeed trying to buy themselves a status through such absolutely unprofessional act.

The statement said that the Persian Gulf and its synonyms in other languages are the most genius names remaining from the oldest resources dated back to centuries before Christ in all languages and literatures.

It noted that some of the Persian Gulf littoral sheikhdoms and their puppet media are using fabricated titles instead of the Persian Gulf.
