Fajr festival announces lineup for national section

TEHRAN, Dec. 29 (MNA) – The 32nd edition of the Fajr International Film Festival announced the lineup for the national competition section on Saturday.
Among the highlights is “Stories” directed by Rakhshan Bani-Etemad in 2011.
The film is composed of seven short episodes in which Bani-Etemad reveals the fate of some of the main characters in her previous films like “The Blue-Veiled”, “Under the Skin of the City” and “Mainline”.

“He Who Said No”, Ahmadreza Darvish’s blockbuster on the uprising of Imam Hussein (AS), is also in the lineup.
This section will also screen Ebrahim Hatamikia’s “Che”, which depicts 48 hours of the Iranian veteran Mostafa Chamran’s life on August 16 and 17, 1979 when he was sent to command several military operations in the civil war in the Kordestan region.

“Exclusive Lane” directed by Mostafa Kiaii, “The Life is Elsewhere” by Manuchehr Hadi, “Raspberry” by Saman Salur, “We Have Guests” by Mohammad-Mehdi Asgarpur, and “Gonjeshkak-e Ashi Mashi” by Vahid Nikkhah-Azad, Masud Kermati and Gholamreza Ramezani, and “All Things for Sale” by Amir-Hossein Saqafi will compete in this section.

The organizers will also screen debut features of six filmmakers in this section.

“Sending a Message of Condolence” by Ebrahim Ebrahimian, “Unripe Pomegranates” by Majidreza Mostafavi, “With Others” by Nasser Zamiri, “Some Square Meters of Love” by Jamshid Mahmudi, “Thirteen” by Hooman Seyyedi and “Melbourne” by Nima Javidi are the films.

The 32nd Fajr International Film Festival will be held in Tehran in February 2014.
