Tehran, Dec 28, IRNA – Governor General of Fars province in southern Iran appointed a Sunni mayor for the town of Gallehdar.

Mehdi Nouri is the second mayor belonging to the Sunni minority appointed for the post in the city.


Majority of the population of Gallehdar are Sunnis.
