Date to IAEA Gachin inspection still not set

19 Dec 2013 - 10:55

TEHRAN, Dec. 19 (MNA) – Iran’s representative to IAEA has said Iran would set date for IAEA Gachin inspection.

Reza Najafi told Mehr News that Iran should set the time for IAEA inspection to Gachin by February 11 2014. “Iran and IAEA agreed on inspection by the Agency’s inspectors of Gachin uranium mine in southern Iran in November 10 sessions with the IAEA as part of the 6-step deal,” he said.

“Iran should announce the inspection date to the IAEA, and the IAEA should send a letter to Iran to announce the date of inspectors’ arrival in Iran,” Najafi added, and that “if the conditions demand after Iran and Powers expert-level talks, the IAEA could visit Iran for inspections.”

“Iran and the IAEA are implementing the 6-step agreement, and we have implemented the first step, the other steps are to be implemented yet,” he said.
