Iranian short film enters Sundance film festival’s lineup

Iranian filmmaker Ali Asgari’s short film <i>More than Two Hours</i> has been selected to compete at the 2014 Sundance International Film Festival.
The film will contend for awards at the competition section of the event that will be held in Utah, the United States.

Asgari’s creation features “a boy and a girl who wander around a city looking for a hospital to cure the girl but it is much harder than they thought.”

<i>More than Two Hours</i> was screened in the short film section of the 66th Cannes International Film Festival.

The film was also screened at the 2013 Berlin international short film festival, Interfilm, in Germany.

Some 66 short films from among 8000 entries have been selected to compete at this year’s film event.

Established in 1981 originally by Robert Redford, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the discovery and development of independent artists and audiences.

The 2014 Sundance International Film Festival is scheduled to take place from January 16 through 26.
