Iranian Food Festival held in Baku

Baku, Dec 7, IRNA – Iranian Food Festival was held at Khazar (The Caspian) University of Baku Friday by Iranian Cultural Office in the capital city.
The festival which introduced 11 types of Iranian foods was accorded warm welcome by the officials and students of the university.


Iran’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mohsen Pak-Aeen said while visiting the event the cultural move is in line with promoting friendship between the two countries.

Referring to diversity of the Iranian foods, he said that event will also help the Azeri students get acquainted with the Iranian taste.

Meanwhile, Chancellor of Khazar University of Baku Hamlet Isaxanli said, “Our tastes are very close to that of Iranians.”

He voiced the university’s readiness to send Azeri Persian language students to Iran to get further familiarized with Iranian culture.

A student attending the event referred to numerous cultural commonalities between the two countries and said that he found that how the Iranian and Azeri tablecloths are similar to each other.
