Tehran, Dec 8, IRNA – Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani said on Sunday that remarkable changes in regional and international arena have led to new power balance to the benefit of the independent countries.
He made the remarks in a meeting with the visiting Member of China’s State Council Yang Jiechi.


During the meeting, the two officials agreed on promoting strategic cooperation in political, economic and security areas.

Pointing to the threats, challenges and problems the two countries share in strategic areas, he said constructive cooperation between China and Iran could serve as a symbol of cooperation between two Asian countries based on political will.

Referring to new developments in world arena, the Chinese official said Iran’s achievements in talks with Group 5+1 were landmark.
