TEHRAN (FNA)- Six people were killed and dozens of others injured after a home-made bomb exploded in a village near the Kudankulam power plant in Southern India, local media said.
Authorities are investigating a possible connection between the blast and recent anti-nuclear protests, RT reported.
The coastal village is only 4km from the newly-built Russian plant which recently faced fierce protests by locals fearing a radiation leak.
The People's Movement Against Nuclear Energy (PMANE), an organization which was opposing the plant’s construction, denied any connection with the explosion.
