TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian army attained great field progress in Aleppo, inflicting heavy losses upon the militants groups.


The opposing UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights asserted that the Syrian army controlled large parts of the military Base 80 which lies in the vicinity of Aleppo International Airport, inflicting heavy losses upon the terrorist groups, Al-Manar reported.

The Observatory mentioned that the terrorist groups, which include ISIL and al-Nusra Front, summoned reinforcements to the battlefield.

For its part, Syria State TV mentioned that the army also controlled the areas Shihan and al-Lermon in Aleppo.
