Iran, G 5+1 to start talks in Geneva

Vienna, Nov 7, IRNA – New round of talks between Iran and Group 5+1 is to start at 11:00 local time on Thursday morning in Nations Palace in Geneva. 

Deputy Foreign Minister and senior member of Iran’s nuclear negotiators team Abbas Araqchi has said we expect to move toward agreement on substantive talks in this round.


At the Geneva 1 talks, Iran presented its new proposal dubbed as : End of an unnecessary crisis, beginning of new horizons.

At the Geneva 2 talks, which is to start on Thursday and continues until Friday, the two sides discuss details of Iran’s proposal.

Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif and head of Iran’s nuclear negotiator team and European Union chief of foreign policy Catherine Ashton, who arrived in Geneva on Wednesday evening, are to meet each other in a working breakfast session.
