Lebanese religious group condemns Saravan terrorist act

30 Oct 2013 - 12:18

Beirut, Oct 30, IRNA – A Lebanese Muslim body has strongly condemned the terrorist attack in southeast of Iran noting it was resulted from enemies anger towards Iran.
The Muslim Ulema Assembly of Lebanon in a statement issued on Wednesday lauded Iran’s focal role in resolving Syrian crisis, saying it has triggered the anger of enemies.

On Friday evening, October 25, 2013, terrorists killed 14 Iranian border guards and injured 6 more in the border city of Saravan, in the southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan.

The terrorists who have reportedly been members of the outlawed Jeish Al-Adl radical Wahhabi movement fled into Pakistan after the operation.

The Muslim Ulema Assembly of Lebanon added in its statement that the terrorist attack was carried out with the aim of damaging Iran’s stability and causing insecurity in the Islamic Republic which is a supporter of the Lebanese resistance movement.

Condemning Saravan’s terrorist attack, the statement called it a coward act which has indicated enemies’ defeat against Iran.
