Tehran, Oct 22, IRNA – Oman and Italy have been chosen respectively as two countries to represent Iranian and Canadian interests, spokeswoman for the Foreign Ministry Marziyeh Afkham said Tuesday.
In order to normalize Tehran-Ottawa ties, Sultanate of Oman and Italy have been chosen to respectively represent Iranian and Canadian interests, Afkham said talking to reporters at her weekly news briefing.

Afkham said uncertainty in Iran-Canada political relations and the need to facilitate bilateral consular affairs paved the way for making such a decision.
