Zarif departs Geneva for Tehran

Geneva, Oct 16, IRNA – Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif, who was in Switzerland to attend talks between Iran and Group 5+1, departed Geneva for Tehran at the end of this round of talks.
Iran’s top negotiator with Group 5+1, who arrived in Geneva on Monday afternoon, after four rounds of intensive talks departed Geneva for Tehran.
Iran presented a new proposal dubbed as, End of an unnecessary crisis and beginning for a new horizon.
USA, Russia, China, Britain, France and Germany are members of Group 5+1 in nuclear talks with Iran.
The two sides agreed to continue their talks in November 7-8, 2013 in Geneva.
During his stay in Geneva, Zarif met with EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton and also attended the first and last sessions of talks between Iran and Group 5+1.
He also met with Swiss foreign minister and appreciated hosting the talks.
Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs Abbas Araqchi, Deputy Foreign Minister in Europe and America Affairs Majid Takht Ravanchi, Director General in Political and International Affairs Hamid Ba’idinejad, Foreign Minister Legal Advisor Davoud Mohammadnia and Director General of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization Mohammad Amiri were accompanying the foreign minister in this trip.
Wendy Sherman, US representative, Sergei Ryabkov from Russia, Jacque Audibert from France, Wang Min from China, Simon Guess from Britain and Hans Dieter Lucas from Germany attended the talks.
