Iran, Sri Lanka call for broadening scientific, academic cooperation

Colombo, Oct 12, IRNA – The Islamic Republic of Iran and Sri Lanka on Saturday called for expansion of mutual academic and scientific cooperation.
Iran’s scientific attaché to Indian peninsula Ali Azam Khosravi briefed chancellors of Sri Lankan universities on the Islamic Republics scientific achievements.

During the meeting, the two sides agreed to broaden cooperation including exchange of college students, setting up short and long term training courses and workshops as well as scientific cooperation between Iranian and Sri Lankan universities.

Iran’s Ambassador to Sri Lanka Mr. Hassani-pour was also present in the meetings.

Sri Lanka with a population of 22 million people is located in the south of Indian peninsula and Indian Ocean.
