12 Oct 2013 - 13:44

The second edition of Latin American cultural  , displaying Venezuelan traditions, is slated to be held in Tehran’s Arasbaran Cultural Center.
Organized by the Embassy of Venezuela in Tehran, various programs are scheduled to be presented at the event.

The country’s works of art, Venezuelan cuisine, photos of the Native Americans’ battle against European colonialism and photos of tourist attractions in Venezuela will be showcased at the exhibition.

Several Venezuelan theater troupes have also been invited to perform plays at the main hall of the center.

A major Venezuelan music band known as ‘Bituaya’ will also perform several pieces on Latin American resistance at the celebration.

The celebration will be held to commemorate the Day of Indigenous Resistance of Venezuela.

The day is celebrated annually on October 12 to mark Venezuela’s national battle for self-determination, unity and cultural and human diversity.

Iran previously hosted the first Venezuelan cultural festival in an attempt to introduce the culture and traditions of this Latin American country to Iranians.

Venezuelan Ambassador to Tehran Amenhotep Zambrano along with several other officials from both countries attended the ceremony held in July, 2013.

The second edition of Venezuela cultural festival in Tehran is set to be held from October 14 to 18, 2013.
