Zionists behavior not in line with Talmud, Torah- Jewish lawmaker

30 Sep 2013 - 14:38

Tehran, Sept 30, IRNA – The representative of the Jewish community in Iran’s Majlis (Parliament) Siamak Mare Sedq said he believes that the Zionist regime is not acting in line with teachings of Talmud and Torah.
Mare Sedq made the remarks in an interview with CNN.

“For religious freedom, Iran is one of the most free countries,” he said.

Mare Sedq was a member of the Iranian delegation to New York attending the UN General Assembly.

It is estimated that 10 to 20 thousand Jews are living in Iran, most of them have also been born in the country, CNN reported, adding that the presence of Jews in Iran goes back to 600 BC.

Mare Sedq further rejected the claim that the Islamic Republic of Iran is enemy of the Jews.

He regretted that many western media reflect news far from realities on Iran.

There is a big difference between being Jew and being supporter of Israel and Zionism, noted the MP.
