Ukraine, Georgia call for expansion of relations with Iran

Tehran, Aug 31, IRNA – Foreign ministers of Georgia and Ukraine Maia Pandzhikidze and Leonid Kozhara cabled separate messages on Saturday to their Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif calling for expansion of their countries cooperation and relations with Iran.
In the messages, the both foreign ministers congratulated Zarif on his appointment as Irans new foreign minister and urged enhanced ties between their countries and Iran.

Maia Pandzhikidze called for expansion of relations between Georgia and Iran on the basis of mutual respect.

We believe that with the new Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif taking office grounds would be prepared for expansion of cooperation between the two countries, he said.

He wished prosperity and success for the Iranian people.

The Ukrainian foreign minister, in his message said I believe that that cooperation between the two foreign ministries will lead to expansion of constructive cooperation in the interests of both nations.
He also wished health and success for the Iranian people.
