TEHRAN, Aug 19 (Bernama) -- Iran's new Head of Atomic Energy Organisation (AEO), Ali Akbar Salehi, expressed hope that the administration of newly appointed President Hassan Rohani could come out with a win-win solution for Iran's nuclear issue, Iran's IRNA reported.
Speaking to reporters on Saturday, Salehi believed that there was no justification for the pressures imposed on Iran.
Salehi said legal problems of Iran's controversail nuclear issue were resolved to some extent when Rohani was in charge of the case.
Rohani was Tehran's chief nuclear negotiator during the talks between Iran and the EU-3 (Britain, France and Germany) between October 2003 and August 2005.
Salehi expressed hope that the issue would be solved politically.
On his plans at the AEO, Salehi said his first priority was to build new nuclear plants to generate electricity.
