Gov’t committee to study Iran’s internet problems

8 Aug 2013 - 17:43

Iranian MP Reza Rahmani says a committee has been charged with reviewing internet services in the country.
Rahmani told Khaneh Mellat website: “People are not happy with the prices and speed of internet service, and slow internet speed is a great concern.”

He stressed that private Internet Service Providers have to take on more responsibility and that the state must refrain from too much interference.

Web users are faced with the low internet speed on top of widespread censorship and periodic interruptions.
