Iran to launch artificial island in 3 years

TEHRAN (ISNA)- Managing Director of Iranian Navigation and Ports Organization Ataollah Sadr said an artificial island in Bushehr port, southern Iran, would be accomplished and launched by the next 3 years to be used for reserving petrochemical products.
The island can be expanded to 440 hectares, he told ISNA, adding ships which are as heavy as 30,000 tons can now dock in Bushehr port.

He added launching the port makes it possible for ships which are up to 50,000 tons to dock in the port and facilitate exporting petrochemical products.
