43% decline in trade with US

Financial Tribune - Iran’s commercial exchanges with the US stood at $17.2 million during January-April to register a 43.97% decline compared to the corresponding period of 2019.

Latest data released by the US Census Bureau show Iran exported $2.9 million worth of goods to the US during the four months to April 30, indicating a 480% year-on-year hike.

Imports from the US stood at $14.3 million in the four months, down by 52.65% YOY.

Bilateral trade in April amounted to $1.7 million, down 85.95% YOY.

Iran did not have any exports to the US during April, while imports reached $1.7 million, indicating an 85.95% decrease YOY.

Iran-US trade amounted to $74.5 million in 2019, registering an 84.97% decline compared to the year before.

Iran exported only $1.4 million worth of goods to the US last year, down by 98% YOY.

Imports from the US totaled $73.1 million in 2019, down by 82.83% YOY.
