7 Jun 2020 - 16:53

ISNA – Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman, Seyyed Abbas Mousavi posted a tweet on the anniversary of a terror attack on Iran’s Parliament and the mausoleum of revolutionary founder Ruhollah Khomeini in 2017.

“Three years ago today, US-backed ISIS carried out the botched terror attack on Flag of Iran’s Parliament to retaliate the successes of 'Resistance Front' under Major General Soleimani’s leadership and sacrifice. Two years later, the Major General as counterterrorism champion was cowardly assassinated by terrorist America. Rest in peace,” Mousavi said in the tweet.

Two terrorist attacks were simultaneously carried out on June 7, 2017, by seven terrorists belonging to the ISIS against the Iranian Parliament building and the Mausoleum of Imam Khomeini [RA], both in Tehran, leaving 17 civilians dead and 43 wounded.
