Tasnim – Foreign Minister of Iran Mohammad Javad Zarif will go to a parliamentary commission meeting on Wednesday to brief the lawmakers on the latest developments in Syria and Iraq.

The spokesman for the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission told Tasnim that Zarif will be taking part in a session of the commission tomorrow.

Hossein Naqavi Hosseini said participants in the meeting are going to discuss the most recent developments relating to the foreign policy.

“Moreover, the latest regional developments are planned to be discussed in the meeting, with priority given to Iraq and Syria,” he noted.

Zarif has held telephone conversations with foreign diplomats and heads of the international organizations in recent days to talk about a range of issues, from the peace process in Afghanistan to the collective action in the fight against coronavirus.
