Iranian directors to hold puppet-making workshops in Tehran

30 Jun 2013 - 11:50

TEHRAN, Jun. 30 (MNA) – Tehran’s Andisheh Cultural Center will host a series of workshops on puppet making, which will be held by two stage directors Mitra Karimkhani and Nadia Mohammadieh in early July.
“We will teach how to make different types of puppets according to the age of participants,” Karimkhani mentioned in a press release on Saturday.

She said that they will teach how to make hand puppets and finger puppets with cloth and sponges to children.

Rod puppets and marionettes and other types of puppet will be taught in higher stages, she added.

Karimkhani said that holding such workshops leads to solid ideas about establishing connections with people of different ages.

“Little kids provide us with new viewpoints and they learn a new skill as well,” she said.

The Andisheh Cultural Center is located in Andisheh Park on Shariati Ave.
