Iran, Armenia discuss expansion of communications cooperation

IRNA – Iran’s ITC Minister Mohammad-Javad Azari-Jahromi and his Armenian counterpart Hakob Arshakyan, in a meeting on Wednesday, explored ways to enhance bilateral cooperation on the area of communications.


The meeting was held in Geneva on the sidelines of 2019 World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS).

The two ministers discussed ways for further enhanced relations between the two countries in different areas such as telecommunications, connecting world networks, development of startups, and exchange of scientific findings.

The Iranian minister said yesterday that the Iranian plan presented to WSIS Forum has been elected as the top plan of 2019 Information Society.

Also during an address to WSIS Forum, Azari Jahromi said that the US unilateral sanctions on Iran are an act of economic terrorism.

He said that unilateral measures taken against certain countries are a clear example of human rights violation.
