IRNA – A domestically-developed water jet propulsion system was unveiled in Tehran's Sharif University of Technology on Monday at a ceremony attended by Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami.

Addressing the unveiling ceremony, Hatami referred to various opportunities of Iran as a country which has access to the sea.

'If we are not strong enough, these opportunities will turn into threats,' he added.

Taking advantage of these opportunities requires marine tools and maritime expertise, he noted.

Among all requirements, propellers are of high importance, Hatami said adding that Ports and Maritime Organization of Iran has had good performance in this field.
