Iran’s Rowhani urges ‘path of moderation’
Iran’s newly elected president pledged Monday to follow a “path of moderation” and promised greater openness over the country’s nuclear program, emphasizing messages from Western leaders since his victory that have brought cautious hope of new openings with Tehran.

 
Ashton says to keep urging Iran on nuclear program
The European Union foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton said on Monday she will continue to urge Iran to build confidence in its nuclear program after the election of moderate cleric Hassan Rohani as its new president.

 
Iran unblocks VPN protocols
Limitations of the VPN protocols have been removed in Iran since June 16 (two days after country’s 11th presidential election).

Most VPN protocols are now opened; the most important one is HTTPS protocol so internet access limitation to Google search engine and Gmail has been removed, Khabar Farsi reported.

Outgoing Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was on Monday summonsed to appear before the criminal court following a complaint lodged by parliamentary speaker Ali Larijani, the government website announced.

Iranian lawmakers have congratulated the country’s president-elect on his victory in the June 14 election, saying they are ready to fully cooperate with Hassan Rohani to help carry out his plans.
