6 Jan 2019 - 13:49

IRNA – Lawmakers voted Sunday to ban carrying advertisement for foreign products which have similar Iranian models.

By a vote of 165-6, Iran’s Majlis (Parliament) approved Article 18 of a reform bill which focuses on maximum use of indigenous product capacity.

This morning, the lawmakers banned putting advertisement for foreign products in newspapers, on the state TV, on the walls, over the phone or cyber space and on the bulletin boards across the cities.

Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei named the new Iranian calendar year which started on March 21, 2018, as the year of 'Support for Iranian Products.'

Parliamentarians determined that the state organizations should buy Iranian products and provide national services for non-project equipment.
