IRNA – Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani on Monday lauded the unity among various ethnic groups in the country.

'The foreign enemies could not divide various sects living in Iran because of their rich culture,' Larijani said addressing a local ceremony.

He added that presence of various ethnic groups in Iran has enriched the nation's culture and empowered it, he added.

Larijani noted that certain small countries of the region are trying to provoke sectarianism in the region, but their efforts are doomed to failure.
