IRNA – Iran is seeking the stability and security of Afghanistan, a top Iranian security official said on Wednesday.

Iran has always attached importance to relations with Afghanistan and establishment of security and sustainable stability by the Afghan government is the aim of Tehran efforts, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani said.

He pointed to transfer of Daesh (ISIS) elements from Syria to Afghanistan after their defeat in the country and noted that there should be negotiations with those who take away their weapons and fight with terrorist elements.
