IRNA - Commander of the Army Ground Force Brigadier General Kiumars Heidari promised changing sanctions to opportunity for creating deterrence power.

Speaking to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Saturday Heidari said 'we could successfully pass the sanctions in Sacred Defense era'.

Iranian youths and experts were self-sufficient at that time and could make missiles and drones, he added.

'We believe that sanction not only had no effect in military progress, but we will have new achievements in this atmosphere,' Heidari reiterated.

'We consider sanctions as threat and will change them into great opportunity for promoting deterrence power.'
