IRNA – Iranian lawmakers are holding a closed session here on Sunday to discuss the current economic situation which has caused problems for people’s livelihood.
The session is held after parliamentarian Fardin Farmand held a sit-in at Majlis last Wednesday in protest at the bad economic conditions.
No representative from Iran’s government is present in the today's Majlis session.
At the beginning, Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani talked about the country’s current economic conditions and the ways to overcome problems.
In recent months, Iran has been witnessing fluctuations in prices and foreign exchange rate.
