IRNA – Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his Algerian counterpart Abdelkader Messahel discussed regional developments, economic cooperation and bilateral relations.


The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 73rd meeting of the United Nations General Assembly on Friday.

Zarif arrived in New York on Sunday to the accompaniment of President Hassan Rouhani to attend the 73rd high-profile session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

Earlier, Zarif held talks with foreign ministers of Group 4+1 as well as counterparts from other countries.

He also participated in the Nelson Mandela Peace Summit and held talks with the P4+1 foreign ministers.
