IRNA – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif held talks with his Qatari counterpart on Thursday on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly.

Zarif discussed bilateral and regional issues as well as other issues of mutual concern with Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani.

Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal Affairs Gholamhossein Dehqani is accompanying Zarif during his visit to New York.

Zarif arrived in New York to the accompaniment of President Hassan Rouhani to attend the 73rd high-profile Summit of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

Earlier, Zarif held talks with foreign ministers of Group 4+1.

He also participated in the Nelson Mandela Peace Summit and held talks with the P4+1 foreign ministers.
