IRNA - Judiciary spokesman Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei says that recent investigations and a report by Office of Forensic Medicine prove that Kavous Seyed-Emami, sociology professor at Imam Sadegh University, has committed suicide while in custody.

Speaking to reporters on Thursday, he said some days ago a number of people were arrested on espionage charges and Seyed-Emami was among them.

These people were gathering information on sensitive and strategic centers and sending it to foreign secret services in the US and Zionist regime under cover of protecting environment,, he said.

When Emami realized that judicial officials had enough evidence of his clandestine activities and his classified data were recovered by the security and judiciary systems, he committed suicide while returning to his cell, he said.
