Tehran ready to allow experts to Parchin in exchange for deal with IAEA – Iran’s ambassador to Russia
Tehran is ready to explain every “suspicious” point of the country’s nuclear program as well as allow experts to Parchin nuclear facility if the IAEA agrees to sign a protocol detailing all its questions, the Iranian ambassador to Russia says. The protocol should contain all IAEA’s concerns about Parchin and all other objects which the agency suspects of being nuke-oriented,  Seyed Mahmoud-Reza Sajjadi has told the Russian media. “And if they don’t find anything, let’s close Iran’s nuclear file and remove it from the UN Security Council.”

 
Guardian Council may approve up to 40 Iranian presidential hopefuls: Spokesman
Iran’s Guardian Council Spokesman Abbas Ali Kadkhodaei says the supervisory body might approve as many as 40 presidential hopefuls for the June 14 election.

Rejecting certain media speculations about the number of presidential hopefuls vetted by the Guardian Council, Kadkhodaei said on Saturday that the supervisory body “does not work based on numbers but based on criteria.”

 

 
Iran hangs two for spying for Israel, US
Iran hanged two convicted spies on Sunday, one found guilty of working for Israel, the other for the United States, the Tehran prosecutor’s office announced. Mohammad Heydari was convicted of “receiving payment to provide intelligence on various security issues and national secrets in repeated meetings with the Mossad,” Israel’s intelligence agency, a statement said.

 
Iran’s guard warns against post-election turmoil
Several Iranian newspapers are citing a senior Revolutionary Guard commander as warning his forces will be on watch for possible unrest after the June 14 presidential election. Col. Rasool Sanaeirad says a “possible riot in Tehran could spread” to other regions. He claims chances for turmoil are heightened because Iran is for the first time holding both presidential and municipal balloting at the same time.
