Southwestern Iran jolts 14 times in half a day

IRNA – In half a day on Saturday, 14 quakes jolted Guriyeh village, in the southwestern province of Khuzestan.

Two earthquakes measuring 4 on Richter scale rocked Guriyeh village at 9:02 (05:32 GMT) and 11:02 (07:32 GMT) hours local time respectively.

The quakes epicenter were in the depth of 9 and 11 kilometers correspondingly.

The weak quakes measuring 3.1, 3.2, 3.7, 3.9, 3.6 also rocked the same region in the depth of 10 and 11 kilometers.

No casualties or damage to property have been reported.

Since November 22, Guriyeh village has been jolted over 45 times.

All educational institutions have been closed on Saturday.
