IRNA – Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi on Friday strongly denounced unprecedented suicide attack in Kabul and Ghor mosques in Afghanistan which killed and injured dozens of worshippers.

The blind and abhorrent attacks have no aim but to create religious disputes and insecurity in the neighboring state, Qasemi said.

Iran will stand alongside the Afghan people and government until full annihilation of terrorism, crime, terror and insecurity, in defiance of certain trans-regional power’s demands.

Tonight in praying time, two suicide attackers detonated themselves among the lines of the worshippers in two mosques, one in Kabul and the other in Ghor province, killing at least 60 people and wounding dozens mores.

Eye witnesses said that prayer leader of Imam Zaman (AS) Mosque in Kabul was also among the dead and death toll is likely to rise given critical conditions some of the wounded facing.
