Commander: Enemies afraid of Iran foreign presence

13 Sep 2017 - 11:52

IRNA – Today enemies are afraid of Iran's presence outside its borders, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Hossein Baqeri said.

General Baqeri made the remarks Tuesday in a meeting with the Iranian war veterans.

Enemies are not now capable of standing against the Islamic Republic of Iran so they are waging proxy wars against the country.

We have to be impervious and impenetrable in the face of foreign pressures, Baqeri said.

The Iranian General went on to say that Iran is self-sufficient in producing its military equipment.

No military advisor from other countries has helped us, but we have restored our deterrence power to stop any foreign threats, Baqeri said.
