IRNA – President Hassan Rouhani congratulated reporters and media people on the occasion of national Reporter's Day.


In an Instagram post on Tuesday, the president stressed the importance of 'responsible freedom' in the society saying, 'broken pens and sealed mouths' cannot work efficiently.

Reporter's Day in Iran marks martyrdom of Mahmoud Saremi, correspondent of the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), who along with eight other Iranian diplomats was killed by Taliban terrorists in Afghanistan's Mazar-i-Sharif in 1998.
