IRNA – Iranian Greco-Roman junior wrestler Amin Kaviani Nejad snatched the third gold medal of Iran squad in World Championships 2017 which was held in Finland.


Kaviani Nejad in the weight category of 66 kg defeated Armenian rival and ranked first.

After being out to rest in the first round, he overpowered Finnish wrestler 4-0 in the second round.

During the third round, he defeated a Kyrgyz rival and advanced semi-final stage.

In semi-final stage, he hit his Russian rival 3-2 and advanced final match.

World Championships 2017 was held on August 1-6 in Tampere city, Finland.
