IRNA – Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Sunday arrived in Assaluyeh in Southern province of Bushehr to inaugurate 8 South Pars Gas Field development projects.


During his visit to the Bushehr province, the president will launch phases 17, 18, 19, 20 and 21 of South Pars Gas Field as well as 4 petrochemical projects.

He will also open the 20-billion-dollar project for production of oil from the South Pars Oil Layer and the five phases of 17, 18, 19, 20, and 21.

The president is expected to visit South Pars 17, 18, 20, 21 phases on Sunday morning and visit Kangan region to exploit 4 petrochemical projects and open phase 19 of South Pars.

A number of cabinet members including the Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and a number of lawmakers accompany the president during the trip.
