IRNA – President of India Pranab Mukherjee in two separate messages congratulated the 38th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution to Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei and President Hassan Rouhani.


President Mukherjee wrote to the Supreme Leader that on behalf of India’s government and nation I congratulate the 38th anniversary of the victory of Islamic revolution to your Excellency, Iranian government and nation.

He wished health for the supreme leader and success for Iranian government and nation and added that the revolution achieved victory because of great altruism of Iranians.

Referring to Iran-India civilization and cultural relations, President Mukherjee stressed that 'I am confident that Iran, India interaction will prepare grounds for stability and development in the region'.
