Senegalese Envoy: Tourism an element to make nations closer

IRNA – Senegalese Ambassador to Tehran Babacar Ba said on Monday that tourism is an element for making nations closer to each other.


He made the remarks on the sidelines of the 10th international Tourism and related industry exhibition in Tehran.

The ambassador said that tourist attractions of Iran came from country’s rich civilization and Senegalese people are so interested to get acquainted with such authentic culture and civilization of Iran.

Referring to his country’s move to create tours for travelling to Iran, Babacar Ba said that tourism will improve and promote economic ties between the two countries.

In addition to cultural and historical works, climate diversity and Iranians hospitality are among important elements to attract tourist to Iran.

Babacar Ba underlined his country’s willingness to develop cultural and economic relations with Iran.

The 10th Tehran International Tourism Exhibition (TITEX) opened on Monday in the presence of Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Reza Salehi Amiri and will last until February 9, 2017.

Senegal, Lebanon, South Africa, Turkey, Russia and Armenia are participating in the exhibition.
