Austria keen to accelerate academic cooperation with Iran

January 15, The Iran Project –Head of Austrian Agency for International Cooperation says we are trying to accelerate academic cooperation with Iran.

Dr. Stefan Zotti, head of Austrian Agency for International Cooperation made the remarks in the conference on the future development of Iran-Austria’s academic cooperation, referring to the last days meeting of Austrian delegation with the officials of Iran's Ministry of Science, Research and Technology.

Stressing that the two countries have proper condition to develop cooperation, he pointed out that petrochemical is one of  the areas of mutual interest.

"Mohammad Ali Sobhanolahi, head of Kharazmi University which is the main university in charge of cooperation with Austrian universities, also pointed to The University’s programs for the development of international cooperation, adding we would like to cooperate with European universities, especially Austria, in the areas of plasma medicine, life sciences, nanotechnology, biotechnology, and humanities.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Sobhanollahi referred to the establishment of European Studies Center in Kharazmi University as a major step to the development of international activities.

A high-ranking academic delegation from Austria composing the head of Austrian Agency for International Cooperation as well as rectors and representatives of 12 prestigious universities and research centers in Austria visited Iran in the last few days to further develop academic diplomacy among the universities of both countries.
