MNA– Leader’s senior adviser Velayati deemed Aleppo liberation a strategic victory as it was dubbed a remarkable triumph by friends and foes.


Head of Strategic Research Center Ali Akbar Velayati made the remarks on Sunday morning at a meeting with the visiting Foreign Minister of Syria Walid al-Muallem.

The Iranian official congratulated victories achieved by Syrian army and resistance forces in the strategic town of Aleppo stating that the significance of the victory was obvious to all as not only friends but also enemies of Syria have attested the issue.

“Iran and Syria enjoy lone-term and strategic relations which have persisted since the time Syria’s ex-president late Hafez al-Assad was in office,” Velayati underlined.

It is worth mentioning that the two sides also discussed and exchanged views on bilateral issues and the latest political and operation status of Syria’s international crisis.
