IRNA – Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif on a telephone conversation on Thursday welcomed ceasefire agreement Russian President Vladimir Putin brokered with the Syrian government.

During the telephone conversation, they stressed the need to proceed with fighting against terrorism and terrorist groups of Daesh and al-Nusra as well as their allies.

Iranian and Russian foreign ministers agreed to have regular consultation and coordination in the context of Iran-Turkey-Russia cooperation to organize dialogue between the Syrian government and the opposition.
